We understand the challenges surrounding the implementation of safety procedures and policies, and are proud to work collaboratively with small, medium and large-scale projects and enterprises to provide guidance, support, execution and management of compliant safety solutions in line with legislative and industry requirements. Directors Brent Stewart and Tom Stoney have combined experience across the construction, resource and agriculture and arts industries, previously holding roles with Monadelphous, Jaxon Group, Perkins Builders and Perth Theatre Trust. Their expertise across a variety of roles, industries and projects led to the creation of Australian Safety Consultancy to provide a holistic and practical approach to safety in construction, agriculture, resources and the arts.

Brent holds several degrees in Education (Bach. Phys. & Health Ed. & Grad. Dip. Ed.), OHS (Post. Grad. Dip. OHS) and Business Administration (MBA), and combines knowledge of the construction and commercial industry with an approachable manner to ensure professional interactions and consultancy work with purpose and value.

Brent has worked as an HSE professional for many years, working as a Safety Specialist for Monadelphous, followed by working as the HSE Manager Position for seven years with the Jaxon Group.

Brent started Practical Compliance five years ago working in the field of Safety for construction, agriculture and resources industries as a Consulting Systems Specialist, Incident investigator, Trainer and Auditor.

Tom holds several tertiary qualifications including, OHS (Post. Grad. Dip. OHS), Theatre (Adv Dip Live Theatre Performance and Bachelor Arts), Cert IV Training and Assessment (TaE) and Cert IV Environmental Management and Sustainability. Tom has detailed knowledge of the Arts and Live Events space and the legislation applicable to the arts, agricultural and construction industries.

He has been working as a site Safety Manager for 6 years for both Jaxon Construction and Perkins Builders. Here he was responsible for the completion of multiple high-profile projects in excess of 300 million dollars.

In 2019 Tom started Perth Theatre Safety and Safety Solutions and Training WA and commenced work for local clients, eventually merging with Practical Compliance in 2020 to create ASC.
